The process of my pieces

All of my pieces are brand new. They are washed and pre-shrunk, and then hand tied and dyed with professional fiber reactive dyes. After processing they go through an extensive rinsing process to remove excess dye, washed in hot water and dried again. The colors will stay true and vibrant with regular washing.

*if you’d like to be extra cautious you can wash your item by itself first but I personally have not found it necessary. I wash in warm water with my regular colored laundry 😊

Reverse dyed mandalas

Some of my pieces are reversed dyed, meaning that I start off with a black or any other colored shirt. I tie up the design and it goes through a bleaching process or discharge of the color. After carefully rinsing, washing and drying the piece I go back in with my regular ice dyeing process.

Sunbursts

I love making sunburst designs, these are dyed on an incline to create the flowing burst effect in really any colors

These pieces are meant to recreate the beautiful colors and textures in geodes and agate
